All Blacks halfback Jimmy Cowan will front at a misconduct hearing on Tuesday to explain his poor off-field behaviour.
Cowan, 26, was arrested and charged with disorderly behaviour after an incident in Invercargill at the weekend, and is facing charges relating to an incident in Dunedin on May 12.
The closed hearing will be conducted by All Blacks manager Darren Shand and the NZRU's general manager of professional rugby Neil Sorenson.
Cowan will be accompanied by his agent at the afternoon hearing.
All Blacks management would not speculate on possible penalties.
However, no halfback has been placed on standby to replace Cowan in the All Blacks squad.
Cowan was reportedly arrested outside One Blue Dog bar in Esk St, Invercargill about 4am on Sunday.
Loose forward Jerome Kaino - who is facing a drink-driving charge after a car accident on Friday - would not have to front a disciplinary hearing because it was only his "first incident", Mr Shand said.
