FORMER Wallabies starGlen Ella has been hired by the Fiji Rugby Union as a technical adviser.
The two-year deal means Ella will work with Fiji's Test and sevens sides, as well as assisting with the Pacific Nations Cup and junior world championship sides.
"I have long admired Fijian rugby," Ella said in an FRU statement. "I'm really looking forward to working with the natural rugby talent that is in abundance in this country."
Ella was an assistant to Eddie Jones when Australia finished runners-up at the 2003 Rugby World Cup, and was a long-time coach of the Australian sevens side. He also coached Japan to the Asian Championship title in 1996. Ella played four Tests for the Wallabies during the 1980s.
