Leicester Tigers Fijian international centre Seru Rabeni was suspended for three weeks today for a dangerous tackle on England centre Jamie Noon in an English Premiership match with Newcastle Falcons.

The 29-year-old had been cited for the tackle by the citing officer at the match on January 26 - which the Tigers won easily 41-14 - and will see the 26-times capped former teacher on the sidelines from February 5-27.

There was better news for Leicester as former England flyhalf Andy Goode escaped further punishment for another dangerous tackle, this one being perpetrated on England star Jonny Wilkinson in the same match.

The panel considered the yellow card issued to Goode during the match was sufficient punishment.
